Who is the Ant? and who is the Grasshopper? Well, In Scripture, Jesus himself said Consider the way of the ant, you lazy sluggard He was telling us to watch how the ant worked in toil to prepare for a time when food would be scarce. The Long Winter In the Parable of the Ten Virgins, We were warned about the Ten Virgins, and how 5 were wise and took oil for their lamps, while 5 were foolish and did not. The 5 that were prepared had what they needed in store, while the 5 foolish were unprepared. The Bridegroom came, but they did not have oil for their lamps Need I really tell you who the grasshopper is? It is the one not gathering the Knowledge to tide them over during the long winter ahead. Not storing away in their storehouse, their minds, what they will need to survive the long winter. And if anything can be more of a guide in a time of trouble, it would be foolish to say that Wisdom is not that which is to be stored The Grasshoppers are the Locusts, they are the plague God sends to destroy that which exists for nourishment One would be wise to heed this wise warning Gather now, while you still can. Winter is coming!
