Who knew!.. Recently I found a delightful and easy recipe for baked jalapeno poppers ( I dont like fried food and my honey-bunny loves jalapenos) Last night I was chatting away and didnt realize I left some seeds in them. No biggie, right ? Wrong !!! I never knew that it is the seeds that carry the real punch. Boy howdy! It wasnt until my lips were on fire and welts started that I was informed. ( Previously I thought spicy meant medium salsa instead of mild). Trying to quench the burn I chugged a drink which hit the gag reflex in my throat. The ensuing hacking caused red heat marks on neck. Still trying to quench the burn and yet laughing at the nonsense, after dinner I went to take my contacts out. Now Im trying to be smart and make sure my hands are thoroughly scrubbed. Well that didnt work ! Apparently that only accentuates the pepper oil in your skin...as I would soon discover as my eyes blazed on fire, teared up and swelled ! Next up one of my acrylic nails came off and I told David to beware since it had hit the floor but I couldnt see it due to my blindness! He, meanwhile, is roaring in laughter declaring, Youre funny gorgeous... Good grief ! Lesson learned !!!
