Who loves more traffic? Than you are gonna be thrilled with the new spot specific rezone going before the COB planning commission on Aug. 7. The property next to Costco is recommended for rezone from light industrial to Industrial, Planned. Why doesnt COB believe that cumulative impacts are a problem for traffic? So far, the city is ignoring public concerns regarding traffic impacts, including those raised by Fred Meyers. (Does that make FM a NMIBY?) How unhappy was FW? Unhappy enough to hire a consultant who had good points to make regarding the lack of a traffic impact study, or adequate information regarding the rezone, and no funding source for the full cost of new roads this will require. Find the FM comments in Exhibit F, public comments, on the right side in the pc agenda materials. Making all of this even worse? The site is currently undeveloped land, so the impacts of industrial traffic will be felt, especially by those stuck behind big rigs at long, long lights.
