Who remembers The Jack and Jolly Show. I was trying to find something to post on the show and found Jack Owens Obituary. Jack Owens, who hosted 13WMAZs Jack and Jolly Show in the late 1950s and early 1960s, died Sunday. Owens started his broadcast career at WNEX, a Macon radio station, then was hired to work in radio at WMAZ. He was working at WMAZ the day its first television broadcast aired on Sept. 27, 1953. Harts Mortuary says services for Owens will be held Wednesday, June 16 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Harts mortuary on Cherry Street. Stephen Byrd and Charles Carter will officiate. According to Harts friends and family will greet friends at Harts Mortuary Tuesday, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. According to Harts, Owens is survived by his wife Betty, his sister Eloise Larmore, 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
