Who remembers going to the Rialto? I think I saw one of my first downtown movies here. My aunt took us to see Lady and the Tramp. This was the early, first version of the Rialto. It was redone in the early 60s. Modernized the whole half block with a Shoneys and a billiard parlor, if you recall. I had one of my first jobs there at Shoneys as a busboy. We went to the Rialto many times over the years. Im glad to see its still there today and really better than ever. Its part of Georgia State now. Across Forsyth Street, as you can see in this picture, is the fairly new GSU classroom building. Just past that on the left is the beautiful Healey Building. Once office space, now condos. Forsyth Street is doing well these days.
