Who was the best PM in the history of PNG or who will be the best - TopicsExpress

Who was the best PM in the history of PNG or who will be the best PM for PNG? Hold your breath first with your answers. Yes I have seen a lot of debates on this particular topic especially on every social media groups and know the names of the likely candidates. But I have my reservations and judgements on this topic. For me, there is/was none and will never be one without revolution. Let me explain why I am too blunt and refuse to recognize or at least acknowledge the achievement of our elected leaders. The problem is we dont realize who are/were part of the problem or who created the problems the country has been facing since independence. If we pause for a while and reflect on the past, the current leaders, almost all of them have been in the government either as public servants before joining politics or politicians for the last 40 years. Under their watch billions of public funds have been disappeared. But we have been made to believe that some aliens from the outer space have been robbing the country dry of its wealth while they themselves have been living in luxurious. If the same people are in the Parliament, the question that we need to ask is - what is the guarantee that this time they wont rob the people they have been robbing for the last 40 years? Apparently, they cant punish themselves from stealing public funds nor stop robbing the poor people. We must know that robbing the people in the name of running and developing the country is a culture in politics and addiction in PNG. The dilemma we are now facing is to trust those same people with our future knowing well that they are part of the problem or I should say they are worse than what we think they are. I am not afraid of them running the country but I am afraid of what they might do to the future as this is what they have been doing to the country for the last 40 years - under their leadership we have been progressing back wards. 40 years is far too long for us to learn from our past mistakes not to repeat those same mistakes time and again by trusting the same people whom have been robbing this country of its wealth to continue run the country. This country will never change as long as we keep voting those who have been part of the problems to be in charge of its solutions. As long as we keep trusting them with our future, what they will do is what they have always been good at. That is robbing the people they swear to serve under oath. If this country is to have a future, the answer not lies in choosing good or God fearing leaders but the answer lies in this simple question - are we willing and ready to change the course of history and rewrite it? If we are prepared then this country needs revolution to change the course of history and rewrite to start all over again with a new vision and a new PNGean dream for our children.
