Whoa how did this miss my sights? The United States Senate just made far reaching reforms on the nomination process of executive officials, making easier for majority parties (and by extension presidents) to make nominations and votes easier! Having studied governance this semester and having heard their system(The US system) being vaunted as template for separation of powers, I would posit this may be the end or the beginning of the end of Trias Politica in the US and the rise of disciplined political parties.
