Whoever came up with the idea of having grandparents read stories to grandkids about health eating and not giving them treats is stupid -- utterly STUPID! Pretty obvious the person isnt a grandparent, let alone a parent. If they were, then they would know that grandkids are a parents best revenge against their own kids. No self-respecting grandparent plays prissy eat-your-broccoli games with his grandkids. Instead, we let them have a Coke and a Hershey bar before bed, and help them down a coconut cream pie for dinner. Then we slip thim a $20 and tell them to go out and blow it after the parents have nagged and lectured them about saving money and other foolish stuff. You know your grandparents did it to you, just as your parents did it to your kids -- its the natural order of things. The stupid government needs to keep its cotton-pickin mitts off what we read our grandkids. Im looking forward someday to reading them Snow Treasure, a great WW II kids novel about youngsters in Norway smuggling gold out of the country right under the noses of the Nazis. Im not about to read anything the government recommends since the government doesnt have kids, has never had kids, will never have kids and is a complete mess. Stuff like this infuriates me.
