Why Choose We R 3C ™? The topic of Pro-Social Behavior as it - TopicsExpress

Why Choose We R 3C ™? The topic of Pro-Social Behavior as it relates to character education and bullying prevention programs is one of the most pressing issues of our time. Given that there are other programs that speak to this subject matter, We R 3C, Inc. decided to take a look at two other programs as they compare to the We R 3C™ Program in three specific areas: 1. Program ‘Credo’ as it relates to programmatic core philosophy, appropriate cognitive stages of development and effect on lifelong learning; 2. Bloom’s Taxonomy of Educational Objectives, which provides an important framework for educators and those who work with children to allow for and achieve higher order thinking; 3. Effectiveness of program as it relates to the successful development of intrinsic motivation for demonstrating Pro-Social Behaviors, Time Effectiveness and Cost Effectiveness. The information gathered from both the Olweus and PBIS programs was obtained from material provided directly from their respective websites and materials. We R 3C, Inc. is cognizant that the notion of choice consists of the process associated with judging the merits of multiple options and selecting one or more of them that best suits a specific need. Within the world in which we live today, the educational community regards having choices as a positive thing that broadens educational opportunity and possibility within the classroom. In nurturing youth to become life-long learners as well as productive engaging individuals within our given communities, the importance of the Pro-Social Behavior program your school, or community, utilizes makes this specific choice all that much more important. We invite you to review the comparisons of the Olweus and PBIS programs as they relate to the We R 3C™ Program in the three areas noted above with hopes that whatever choice you may make will be the appropriate one for those children you serve.
