Why can’t the “Bike Fest” be moved to another weekend? It has become quite apparent that Myrtle Beach’s’ so called “leadership” has opted for politically correct and the almighty dollar once again. Has anyone of you a clue what Memorial Day is all about? Evidently you do not. In essence it is to remember those men and women who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom by laying down their life for our country. It is a sad state of affairs when you would cancel Memorial Day celebrations and parade to appease the common street thugs and the riff raff that come to town over the Memorial Day weekend to trash the town, perform lewd acts in public, violate the noise ordinance and totally disrespect the people of this county not to mention violate the traffic laws. Sickening is the only word that comes to mind at this time. Myrtle Beach leadership, you all should be ashamed of yourselves.
