Why did YOU get baptized? • Did you want to follow Jesus example? • Did you want to be obedient to God? • Did you want to publically proclaim Jesus as your Savior? If you sought forgiveness of your sin through Jesus, and then sought to be baptized, why then would you not want to seek to be faithful each day? Here are some points to ponder: • If you are not faithfully serving Christ through church attendance, giving, praying, use of talents, and sharing, then you could be unaware of Gods plan and purpose for your new life in Christ, or you might be choosing to be in rebellion (Romans 11:13-33; 2 Peter 3:16-18; Romans 6:1-13). Where are you in your faith? • As the Day of the Lord approaches, the faithful are to be stirring up those who are in need of repentance; so that they will begin working for Jesus and gathering with other believers to combine their efforts for Gods kingdom (Hebrews 10:24-25; James 5:19-20; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18). Has someone reached out to you? • If you have failed to heed this appeal, it can place you, and possibly those you have influence over, in great peril (1 Peter 4:12-19; 2 Corinthians 5:7-10; Romans 11:22; Hebrews 12:1-13). Gods chastisement is a reality. • If you will take but a few moments to read the following chapters, and then seek Gods face in honest prayer, you will begin to see your new life in Christ differently ( Psalm 51; Matthew 5-7; 2 Corinthians 4-5; Romans 6-8; Hebrews 5-6, 10-11).
