Are we better off today, as a country, than we were before 1994? Of course not!...Gambians are alive today because of remittances from family overseas, period. Under Jammehs state sponsored thievery, Gambia has suffered the biggest transfer of wealth from the people to a president - in modern times, on the levels of Mobutu.
