Why do churches fight against churches? Maybe for the money? - TopicsExpress

Why do churches fight against churches? Maybe for the money? Maybe for the prestige? Maybe because they love the Lord? Who knows? Whatever the cause we are not to contend with one another for any reason! Every church and or denomination seems to have a separate understanding of what God looks like and what the written word says and everyone actually believes they are right and more knowing than the other and there are those who say it doesn’t matter what the other believes as long as they love the Lord and believe in Jesus Christ and that He is the only way into heaven they will be saved, my question to you is how can you love what you don’t even know, and haven’t even taken time know what you say you love? Matthew 7:21-23/ Matthew 25:9-25/ Luke 13:25/ Romans 15:17-18 / you will hear man speak many words for his own benefit or for the benefit of the church he belongs to but keep this verse in mind, Romans 16:17&18 17. Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 18. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. / Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ./ Hebrews 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. ONE LAST VERSE FROM THE MOUTH OF JESUS CHRIST; Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? As children of God we all have an obligation to concur in all things spiritual, and that means that we must; agree with one another, harmonize in accordance to all things Godly, that our words must coincide with the written word not mans understanding or interpretation, to see eye to eye not fight over denominations and doctrine of man, we must be of the same mind and stop quibbling over things and desires of this world, we must stand together on all things Godly because there is only one true God, and to change the written word in any way is to change the face of God to fit our desired belief system and to enter into idol worship because we have designed a god to fit around us, instead of us fitting into Gods plan. I believe man devises denominations not to intentionally change the face of God but to have dominion over other men which is in its self wrong, like Jesus himself said, a house divided cannot stand and we have built many houses on week foundations. It is like walking on a plush green grassy land barefooted it looks so pretty and green that nothing can be wrong, and a man should be able to walk barefooted in a perfect pasture but sometimes we walk without looking because we want to believe everything is good and we don’t see the shade of green that doesn’t quite match the rest and we pick up thorns, everything that is green is not good, and we know we should not walk there yet we do and we get hurt. God does not place thorns in our paths unless He wants us to see what is hidden. There many times in our lives that we believe we are walking close to God and maybe we are, but the things that keeps us from walking with God are the things we have allowed to creep inside us that seem right to us because we want them to, not because God said they were. We believe many things because a person we think we know and respect says they are right when we know they are not what the written word says these are things said by men pleasers of men who need to be told what they are doing is right and good when they are not. Listen to the man inside you that tells you what is good and what is not, and you will loosen the load that causes you to walk close to God but not with Him. The Holy Ghost that dwells inside you will not guide you wrong so don’t second guess Him, and for the sake of God don’t allow some man to tell you He is wrong. I can give you a verse from the Bible to discredit anything you say you believe, but the Holy Bible was not written for your discredit. If a man says a verse does not mean what it says question the man, not the verse. Jim Williams
