Why do people blindly believe in the Illuminati? So many accept the cospiracy theories about them and the fact escapes them that aside from modern urban legend and cospiracy theorists, absolutely zero evidence exists supporting said conspiracies. They did once exist, many hundreds of years ago, but... The Illuminati (The Illuminated Ones) were a group of people who supported scientific research and equal rights for women, they were made out to be evil by the church and forced underground because they were being killed and tortured. Thats the historic fact. All the stuff thought about them now - an evil group that pulls all the strings and wants to dominate mankind under their new world order - was made popular by fictional novels (The Da Vincci Code and Angels and Demons). Thats what started the craze. Now almost everyone thinks they actually still exist, and are evil. It really is crazy to me just how easily deceived and manipulated people are in general. So quickly is fiction turned into fact, and fact into fiction.
