Why do the States of America need a central Government? In the - TopicsExpress

Why do the States of America need a central Government? In the 18th century a Central Government seemed to make sense, but with the technology of the 21st century, why do the sovereign States of America need a central government organization? It appears that it is unnecessary duplicity which is interfering with the operation of the Republic. Perhaps it is time to reorganize the united States of America, to amend the Constitution so as to eliminate the separate governing bodies and to re-assign the required duties to a cooperative organization of the States’ Legislatures and Governors. No more “National Elections”. When we elect our State Governments, Governors and Legislators we would also be electing our National Government. Each State has an Administrative Head, labeled Governor, a Legislative organization for making law, a Judicial Branch for interpreting the laws of the State, a Law Enforcement organization and all Regulatory Agencies necessary to oversee all operations of public concern within the State. . What function of “Federal” Government could not be performed simply by the States working in cooperation under a unified Administration of Governors? If the Governors of all the States were to form a Council or Board of Governors to Administer National laws approved by the Legislatures of their States could not matters of concern throughout the States be better addressed than having individuals separated from the States and the People address them? Under a Council/Board of Governors it would be less likely that an Oligarchy would form since the Council Members would still be attached to their States and have to gain concurrence from their State Legislatures for all but immediate emergency response type actions. Council Members would also be individually accountable to their constituency and to the Laws of their respective State as well as to the Laws of the Nation. Administration of the Federal Government would once again become a “Part Time” job. Through agreements and cooperation could not the States provide for the common Defense as well as their own Interstate and International Commerce regulation? While the cost of performing National Administration and performing the functions of National Government would not be totally eliminated, it would be greatly reduced. By having the States fund the National needs by apportioned contribution the National Organization would only get what is needed to operate. Being the tax collecting agency, the States would be able to fund the needs of the State and the People better and more efficiently than with the current system where money is stolen from the People by the Federal Government then returned to the States with dictatorial “strings” attached. A common Credit Transaction System could serve as the Common Currency and all Interstate and International commerce and relations regulated by the concerted consent and effort of the States’ Legislatures and Administered by the Council/Board of Governors. National Defense is a matter of concern to everybody but it must be disciplined and coordinated by an organization with leadership well versed in tactics and committed to answering to those they are defending. While the current Defense organization could, and should, be streamlined a bit the current chain of command process seems to be working pretty good and could continue to do so by answering to the President/Chairman of the Council/Board of Governors. What about National Security? Okay, what about National Security? First of all let’s get this straight, there is no such thing as “National Security”. The term “national security” was devised by Oligarchs to tell the Citizens that the deals they were making among themselves were no business of the people. Now it is code for protecting the Oligarchy against the citizenry. Scrap the NSA. Interstate cooperation of State Law Enforcement Agencies can more efficiently identify and handle domestic terrorist threats and, with cooperation from Defense, international threats as well. State Department affairs can continue under the Administration of the Council/Board but certainly will operate more efficiently when reporting to the Council/Board rather than just the President. America’s economic system is already a “Credit” system operating by passing around IOU’s, however the “Reserve” system currently in use is backed by nothing. By replacing the Reserve system with a Goods/Product/Service backed system the Dollar would once again have value. The credit value of each good, product or service would be established by the provider based upon the cost to provide and regulated by the market place based upon supply, demand and the consumers’ willingness and ability to pay. Indebtedness would be limited by the individual’s or entity’s ability to provide equivalent value as assessed by the Commerce Oversight Commission of the State of Residence of the individual or business entity. Banks? “We don’t need no stinkin’ Banks.” Today, every person can be their own “bank”. All Individuals or business entities are free to contract directly with each other and to form alliances to accomplish common purposes to the extent that they don’t prohibit other individuals or organizations from participating in the same type of venture. States currently have their own rules regarding loaning money for profit, why are separate “Federal” laws needed? Common cooperation organization among State Treasurers and oversight committees can better regulate such than a standalone “Federal” agency. As for the SEC, I’m sure it would function much better under the administration of the Council/Board of Governors than just the President. These are just the beginning thoughts but following this line of reasoning I believe “We The People” can fashion a new and better form of government. It will however require a Constitutional Convention and some brave soles to make it happen.
