Why do we preach waiting on God as immobility...or repeat the - TopicsExpress

Why do we preach waiting on God as immobility...or repeat the misguided (and God-rebuked) doctrine of Moses stand still and see the salvation of the Lord? Sometimes our waiting on God is nothing but an excuse we hide behind to avoid doing what He has already called us to do. If God has called you to grow a church, stop waiting on another confirmation. If he said it once...once is enough. I am not endorsing dumb & UN-needed behavior, but as ministers we should lead as though God will provide for every need. Waiting on God is what fear of failure looks like when it gets religious. Risk for the Kingdom of God isnt risk...its called FAITH. How would you pastor/minister if you really believed God would finance, provide and backup any righteous endeavor you attempted. When it comes to the future of our churches/ministries/building programs/outreach endeavors...etc...we should only be looking for Gods red-light...not His green-light. No one has ever built anything of significance sitting on the couch with his hand in a bag of Doritos waiting on a Go call from God. God bless...carry on... Rob McKee
