Why do you all think there is so much tension when it comes to subgenres? When it comes down to it, it is all metal in the end. I dont quite understand why there is so many arguments over which subgenre is the best and whether or not certain subgenres even exist. I personally like the idea behind the subgenre system. It is a road map through the winding and often confusing streets of the metalverse. People are so quick to get up in arms about it though, I am curious as to what all of your takes on the issue are. Lets not let this degenerate into a war, I am not interested in what sugenre that you think is superior in this particular post, I just want to know why you think it is such a touchy subject. - Nighteyes
