Fans voice concern over ‘painfully skinny’ Hetti Bywater after TV comeback in BBC One show Death In Paradise It was her big TV comeback after the EastEnder’s Who Killed Lucy Beale storyline, so there was bound to be a reaction. But Hetti Bywater’s guest appearance in BBC One detective drama Death In Paradise has sparked controversy, after fans took to Twitter to voice concern over her ‘painfully skinny’ frame. One tweet sent directly to the 20-year-old said: ‘@bywaterhetti_ you are so so thin…Look so unhealthy in death in paradise : (‘ Other fans also joined in on social media. Wading into the debate, one wrote: ‘Hetti Bywater looks painfully skinny on death in paradise.’ But lots of fans also were excited to see Hetti in the show, tweeting: ‘OMG Lucy’s alive & on the beach!!!! #DeathInParadise’, and ‘It’s good to see @bywaterhetti_ on tv again.’ The actress played a talented surfer, Jess Chambers, who was visiting the fictional Caribbean island of Saint Marie – cue lots of shots of her looked tanned and gorgeous in a pair of pink shorts. Starring alongside Will Mellor and Claire Goose in the whodunit, Hetti’s character comes under suspicion of murder after the owner of a surf school is found shot dead. However, Hetti – who played Ian Beale’s wild daughter – is let off the hook after English Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman, played by Kris Marshall, gets to work and finds the real killer. It’s not the first time the star has been the victim of sick comments over her appearance. Two years ago the star’s image was used on a pro-anorexia website alongside other female celebrities such as Mary-Kate Olsen and Victoria Beckham.
