Why dont we have more scientists in political positions. Their career depends on producing reliable, truthful data and being clear about procedures so as not to be caught in a lie or even half-truth as that compromises the integrity of not only them, but anyone researching even closely related material. Instead, we put many lawyers in charge of running the government whose careers are based on manipulations of the truth in order to put their views in the best light. Lets think about that.
