Why has this song always said ... me ... to me anyway. We all have songs we feel speaks to us as this is about me. I guess I am still pretty much crazy and other things this song says, especially right in the first few lines of lyrics, it says me ... to me. Now that said I get no royalties from it. The author has never laid eyes on me or said a word to me. But music is universal to all souls. If confession is good then this is mine, put to music by the ever talented Paul Simon of Simon and Garfunkel. Pretty much as you get older you should get to know yourself pretty well. Your ins and outs, ups and downs. Your pros and cons. Not that you know how to change them 100% even if you wanted to. Its hit and miss. But you recognize them more easily, where the good can go and where the bad can lead and sometimes you hit it spot on and life is made better. It then becomes a comfortable feeling you can get in your own skin. I feel a Beatle sort of thing in there too in the instrumental part of this great tune for you musician friends of old time. Eh?
