Why hasnt anyone fought to take away the electoral vote and support the poplar vote as the major supporting factor when electing a new president. The electoral vote was set up because at the time it was set up it was to help out because no one couldnt count all the poplar votes. but with advancements in technology we see each states poplar votes. The electoral vote is out dated and we still let a small few speak for each state even when the one state majority decided on a different candidate. If they got rid of the electoral vote the young generation would be more excided about voting on taxes and senators and future presidents.
