Why is Important to have a Will? 1. Protect what is ours. A will prevents what we build during our lives, so hard, fall into the wrong hands. A will gives us certainty. It allows us to be confident that our goods will serve the purpose for which we wanted to have. For example: if we have a home for our family, ensuring that it remains with them. If we form a successful business than ours continue to enjoy its benefits. Remember that if you do not leave a will, we are leaving the decision about the future of our assets in the hands of a judge, through a complicated process (intestate judgment) that could last several years. Furthermore, if we have legal heirs and unclaimed our goods, they could pass the state. 2. Protecting Our Own. I think any parent wants their family protected. A will is a protective mechanism for them: give them certainty and allows them to continue with their lives without worrying about what will happen to your home or the money you have saved. It is unfortunate but there is: many people fight for money and many families have been separated by such problems. There are many stories where grandparents fighting for custody of the children when a parent passed,or brothers who fight over the heritage left by their parents to die. A trial of intestacy can be very hard for the emotional well being of our loved ones, in addition to long and costly and for which our goods can not be touched, neither the money left in our checking account. Do we want this for our family? A will avoid it and gives us the power to decide what will happen to our property if someday you passed. 3. To fulfill our desires. Each head is different and therefore everyone has different ideas. Some people prefer that their property pass to a foundation dedicated to serving street children or ensuring access to education for low-income families. All these ideas are very noble, but if not we leave a will, there is no chance of this happening. Proper succession planning is essential not only to protect our loved ones, but to ensure that this heritage that we built with so much effort remains in the right hands. Therefore, it is an essential responsibility that allows us to ensure the welfare of our family and a fundamental part of our personal financial plan
