Why is fire so consuming? You can get lost in its flames and the warmth comforts and gives a sense of security. As a child we learn fast about the pain a kiss of the flame causes but we never lose the interest. From the dawn of time fire was considered a gift stolen from the gods. We can never control it. God himself talks about the power of fire. We need the Holy Ghost fire to walk thru heavens gates but at the same time we will be destroyed by the flames if we do not let God consume us. Luke 3:16 KJV [16] John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: Just as the skin blisters it becomes shiny and that spot is changed forever. God I want the consuming flame of the Holy Ghost
