Why is it so hard for Americans to understand why we support the military in Egypt. The military had basically ruled the country since 1952. Each President was a military man, Nassar and Mybarak both came from the military. Interesting that democracy was unable to provide someone to rule the entire population, sort of like the US where agreement is impossible. We see Cairo, but what of the rest of the country? Do those outside of Cairo have the same problems as those in the city? Looks like growing pains related to new found feelings of freedom to me. They will eventually work it out in a century or so.
