Why is it somehow cute for a child to hold up a sign professing - TopicsExpress

Why is it somehow cute for a child to hold up a sign professing their love for various gods, yet somehow sinister for them to hold up signs promoting critical thinking, rational inquiry, skepticism, science and positive secular values instead? Could it be that we have allowed religion to go unchallenged for so long, where believers somehow feel entitled to influence others, without healthy competition? What is more unlikely: a child is psychologically scarred by too much critical thinking and skepticism or by threats of Gods judgment for not believing and obeying? In light of these questions, which side is truly more sensitive, compassionate and open-minded? Finally, are there any cases of children being deeply disturbed for the rest of their lives, after learning how to think critically, scientifically and skeptically? When carefully considering these issues, it seems clear God is a Cosmic bully, rather than a positive influence on our kids, while we anti-religious skeptics are truly the compassionate and considerate ones. After all, the last thing any child needs in their life is an insensitive Cosmic bully. Rationally! https://facebook/groups/232644807229/
