Why is it that the Gospel of Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ alone is so offensive to the flesh? Because Grace makes no allowances for the flesh to add to, or to make any kind of payments towards the Free Gift of Salvation provided by Jesus Christ, which would demote Salvation from being a Gift and turn it into a cheap reward for self righteousness ... And the truth is that the flesh absolutely cannot stand the thought of it because Grace gives the flesh no room to boast about itself.... Selah.
