Why low calorie diets and long aerobic exercise takes you further away from your goal. Many of us are fooled into believing that cutting calories drastically low and adding in long bouts of cross trainer / treadmill work are the only ways to lose fat. However you couldn’t be more wrong. By doing these 2 things, you are damaging your body, releasing massive amounts of stress hormones and hindering any efforts to lose fat. Hormones and Fat Gain. By lowering calories and increasing exercise, you are massively lowering your human growth hormone levels, increasing cortisol and increasing your estrogen / progesterone balance towards estrogen. All this culminates in fat gain. Human growth Hormone in women is what testosterone is to men, it keeps you fit, strong, energetic and lean, so decreasing this hormones level is never a good thing. Human Growth Hormone release is at its highest when your sleeping, in taking adequate protein and training intensely using weights so you must learn to do all these 3 things if you want to lose fat and look great. Weight Training for women. Weight training for women can take some getting used to, you may think it will make you bulky. It wont. It will give you the athletic and toned look you desire, slaving away on a treadmill for hours will not. It is also essential for fat reduction, you burn hundreds more calories during an intense weight training session that you will by performing slow cardio. Other tips for women. • Decrease exposure to estrogens – plastic bottles, non organic meats, excessive coffee, soy and pesticides. • Eat lots of green vegetables – this will help detoxify estrogens. • Decrease cortisol and insulin reactions by reducing fruits and carbohydrates and replace with proteins and vegetables. • Supplement with Fish Oil, Multivitamins, D3 and Magnesium. • Train with WEIGHTS 3 – 5 times per week. If you really want to get your ideal body then you need to weight train. Nothing else will give you the effects and benefits that weight training will.
