Why not now, God? Mark 3:12: But [Jesus] gave them strict orders not to tell others about him. There are couple moments where Jesus ordered His disciples and people not to expose His works. The reason of this is that because Jesus had more things to do. He still wanted to bless others such as healing the roman centurions servant, rise Lazarus that was dead for 4 days, changed the woman at the wells heart, changed Zacchaeus heart, calmed the storm, gave sermon to the people, feed the 5,000, and etc. Jesus goal when He was on the Earth was died for us. But He didnt do it right away. He didnt get exposed and crucified right after He got baptized. But He wanted to spend time with us and blessed all people around Him. So many times in our life, we are pushed to finish our goal as soon as possible. It is actually a good thing to do. But, there are times when God says Not yet to you. The reason of this is that God wants you to bless people around you first. It is not about reaching your goal, it is about loving and bless others first. Remember that the greatest of love, faith, and hope is love (1 Cor 13:13). When Jesus told His disciples not to expose Him, it is because He wanted to love and serve others personally first. Jesus loves to touch people personally because He is our personal God. There were many times that He drew Himself and met a person personally. He met Nicodemus at night, He met a woman at the well personally, He met Zacchaeus personally, He only allowed some people to come with Him when He raised a girl from the dead. Jesus wants to meet His people personally, this is the kind of His love. When God says Not yet to your great plans. It doesnt mean that God disapprove your plan. It is because God wants you to touch people around you personally first. He wants you to be like Him, which is love others personally. There will be a time when God will take you to a great plan for you. And that time will be the perfect time in your life.
