Why on earth it makes any sense to disassociate any worldwide religious holiday from its beloved and hallowed origins is beyond me. Those who pretend to explain the reasons have all kinds of justifications, none of which survive any scrutiny at all. To say you find someones religious beliefs, which are intensely personal and dear to their hearts, offensive, is, to me, far beyond insensitivity. Its actually cruel. And, if you dare to defend your cherished beliefs, you are openly mocked and denigrated. Merry Christmas. Bring it.
