Why protest? Do you ever remember a protest having the desired effect? Why do we protest, to just vent or to affect change? Clearly a protest against a national issue such as the wars or police brutality across America are more of the let off steam or venting type. These protests are unlikely to affect any sort of lasting change. If we protest a local issue, and stay at it, be in the leaders faces so to speak, then such action can promote a redress of the issue.
