Why should you Pre Register????? Let me tell you why! AND I APOLOGIZE FOR THE LENGTH OF THIS NOTE Ive been without internet and t.v. since yesterday. I have UVerse. And, Ive really been very happy with the service... until it all went out. The biggest problem was they wanted me to wait TWO day for them to ship the part they thought was malfunctioning. Now, I totally believe they can check stuff on their end and have a good enough idea what is wrong; but the fact was I would be waiting around for two days to see if this part works and, if not, I would have to still schedule for a technician to come to the house. When I inquire about someone coming out now instead of waiting on UPS…of course they let you know real quick that there may be a $149 charge. Let me say this... they have been nothing but nice. But then, I have too. Even though this is a major inconvenience to be without internet in the line of work im in. So, I called this morning and said they could come get their stuff. If I have to pay a premium for service $174/month - I deserve better. And that better wasnt them coming out today and charging me $149 for their part that isnt working. The lady today gave me a $56.00 credit and dropped my bill down to 148 a month from the $174 and gave me some more channels I didnt have. She also said IF they charged me today she would refund that. He shows up. Is a very nice guy. And, guess what? Its not what they thought…but a break in their line down the road from my house!!!!!!!!! So, why would I say register for cSpires fiber to the home? Because, the more competition in this town for the same services will make all of the companies do a better job in Customer Service and hopefully drive some of the prices down, too. Again, I do want to say: I have been treated very nicely by EVERYONE AT AT&T…but, it was an act of Congress to get someone to my house today. And, only because I threatened to leave and take my business somewhere else, was there any talk of me not having to pay for the technician. It should just be the norm that a technician comes out. ANYHOO. I have pre registered today for CSpires fiber hood program and I encourage all of you to do so as well! It was easy and took less than FIVE MINUTES.
