Why stop at understanding when you can press on further to application? You go to school, you sit through the classes. You have a perfect understanding of the material. Possibly better than your classmates, but you dont bother to apply what you learn. Three weeks pass, and its time for the test. Have you been applying what you learned? Is the material readily available in your mind? Will you pass? You may. You may not. Its uncertain. Ive been thinking about how this relates to the Bible today. I know it seems like a simple comparison, but I think its a good one. I cant help but think the trials in life are *that* much more bearable when the material is readily available us. Otherwise, when the trials come, who knows where well turn when things get tough?
