Why the Civil War was really fought: I have found out that most - TopicsExpress

Why the Civil War was really fought: I have found out that most people think that slavery was the primary reason for the Civil War, when freeing the slaves was used more as a tactic than an act of human rights. Before the Civil War the north was forcing the south to sell their cotton to the northern textile factories at a discounted rate, then they would turn around and sell the clothes and fabrics back to the south. This enraged the south and South Carolina had threatened to secede when Andrew Jackson (1832) was president (he replied by saying he would hang any rebles from the tallest trees). So the talks of seceding had been taking place for years. Great Britian knew about this political debate and did their best to exploit it (because they were interested in splitting up the US and reestablishing a central bank run by the Rothchilds), King Edward the 7th (which was a prince at the time) took a trip to North America a few years before the war to help get the war started. When the south finally seceded the British started pouring in the arms and munitions, the standard Confederate rifle was an Enfield rifle (a British rifle), ships were even built by the British for the Confederacy. The truth is that most of the people fighting for the south didnt own slaves, they were average people that couldnt afford a horse let alone a slave (rich people almost never fight in wars they instigate). In a letter to Horace Greely, Aberham Lincoln wrote if I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it. You have to understand the slaves were freed because all the men were off at war and the only people working the cotton feilds were the slaves, so freeing the slaves was a way to bring the south to their knees economically. In other words slavery was a side issue. Remember most slaves after they were freed didnt want to leave the plantations because they had nowhere to go, so the land owners ended up giving them some of their land to live on (I am not saying all slave owners were good people and treated them good, but not all were bad either). The goal of the British was to divide the US and reclaim it. The Trent Affair gave them the excuse to send 8,000 troops to Canada and also assisted the French in conquering Mexico. The Confederates were trying to negotiate a deal with both empires to come into the war on the side of the south, and Texas and Louisiana would be given to the French and most of the north would go to the British. So Russia (being the enemy of the British) decided to send its navy to stop the French and the British from invading the US. This was truly a proxy war, a war instigated by super powers for their own profits, but it failed! I am not condoning slavery and I am not claiming Lincoln was a great guy either ( because he suspended habeas corpus) I am only telling true history. If the Union cared so much about the slaves why would they allow sharecropping to take place after the war, it was just another form of feudal slavery, most of what they planted had to go to the land owner. If you think growing crops is a risky business now just imagine how it was back then. If there was a bad crop during sharecropping who do you think got first dibs? The real lesson to learn about the Civil War is what was done by Lincoln to avoid the European bankers (the Rothchilds were charging 36% and 46% interest on the loans) and created the green back. This was a currency that was out of the bankers control (they werent able to expand and contract the currency like they could before) and after the Civil War the banks tried everything they could to kill the green back. If you dont believe that the Civil War was proxy war for European super powers here is a quote from Otto Von Bismark that says it all, The division of the United States into federations of equal force was decided long before the Civil War by the high financial powers of Europe. These bankers were afraid that the US, if they remained as one block, and as one nation, would attain economic and financial independence, which would upset their financial domination over the world. Here is a news paper article from the Times of London that tells you exactly how the British felt about the green back. If this mischievous financial policy, which has its origin in North America, shall become indurated down to a fixture, then that Government will furnish its own money without cost. It will pay off debts and be without debt. It will have all the money necessary to carry on its commerce. It will become prosperous without precedent in the history of the world. The brains, and wealth of all countries will go to North America. That country must be destroyed or it will destroy every monarchy on the globe. I hope you found this helpful, and I hope I didnt confuse you.
