Why the fright-monkeys will force the impeachment of President Obama. 1) The hardcore base of the Confederate party will settle for nothing less than impeachment. They will insist on it. They believe that the 2014 election was a mandate for impeachment. They are so caught up in their own irrational hatred it overwhelms all other considerations. They dont care about the responsibilities of government, they just want to exercise their rabid compulsions. They are suffering from a cognitive dissonance so profound that any evidence that contradicts their indelible beliefs is immediately dismissed as liberal propaganda. They are trapped inside the bubble of their own emotional violence. 2) Even where they are aware that an impeachment effort is a dead-end, they still want impeachment. It will tie up the resources of the Obama administration and keep the President from being more activist. 3) Even where they are aware that impeachment will not succeed in a conviction in the senate, they still want it because investing their energies in impeachment hearings and trial will relieve them of the responsibility of actually having to tend to the more important business of legislation that addresses the needs of the nation. 4) They want an impeachment to taint the reputation of the President and also to taint the reputation of the democratic party heading into the 2016 elections. 5) Sheer mean cussedness. They arent interested in building a future. They want to tear down the present. Politically, they believe their mission is not just to tear down what they perceive as the liberal establishment -- it goes beyond that. They want to tear down the federal govt, rewrite the Constitution, and install a one-party majority. The religious fanatics want to create a theocratically aligned govt and see all democrats as obstacles to be removed, by violence if no other means are possible. Heres how I see these people. Imagine a group of monkeys sitting on the flight deck of a 747 pretending they are pilots, pretending they are flying this great complicated machine. If you try to teach them, try to tell them how it is supposed to work, try to tell them what the flight plan is, they will throw feces at you. They know better because theyre the monkeys at the controls. Now, they might get the plane to taxi down the runway, they might even get it up into the air -- but there is no way they will get it to any intended destination. And they are even more unlikely to get it back down to the ground in anything less than an aluminum shower. I dont mind if these monkeys kill themselves, but the rest of us are crammed into the steerage section in the back.
