Why tolerance? Because yes, certainly, nobody wants to see something shoved in their face they dont really agree with, or isnt aesthetically pleasing, or that doesnt gel with them. However if every time we removed the eye that offendeth thee everyone would be freaking blind. Our streets would be bare and wed be fighting to the death over who gets to call the cultural shots. An it harm none, do what thou wilt goes both ways. If its not hurting you or someone else, leave it alone and stop bullying, shaming, down talking and worse. Start uplifting each other. Recognise and celebrate individuality and self-expression instead! Treat everyone with the same courtesy you know you deserve. The capacity to live your life, without harming others, the way you wish to. Sounds a bit like judge not and do unto others, incidentally.
