Widespread power outages from Fayetteville to Shreveport occurred Wednesday night as severe storms moved through the area. Southwestern Electric Power Company reported that about 69,000 customers were without power in the Ark-La-Tex. Strong winds knocked down several trees and limbs that blocked roads in the county. Highway 371, about a mile west of Nashville was shut down for over three hours as crews worked to remove a tree that had fallen on the road and power lines. Crews were still working to restore power in the area this morning. Here at the radio station, we received 1.4 inches of rain.
