Wild Brooklyn elevator shooting caught on surveillance camera New York City police are looking for a gunman who opened fire in a crowded elevator in Brooklyn, and theyre hoping surveillance video will lead to an arrest. The incident happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday inside 940 Gates Avenue in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section. Authorities say the victim, a 25-year-old man, was exiting the elevator when the suspect approached and shot him in the torso. The suspect then fled the scene.
