Will you kill someone you love because of love? The main tagline of the anime GA-REI:ZERO is riveting and thought provoking. A prequel anime to the manga GA-REI, Zero serves to set the stage for the manga storyline and places emphasis on one of the main antagonist of the manga. The anime came out about 6 years ago but it is still worth a watch owing to its horror themed supernatural setting and a subtle mix of yuri. This is one of the actually good yuri anime out there which boasts a good plot and believable characters.The horror elements are well executed and the anime manages to surprise often during its 12 episode run. In recent times, there hasnt actually been a good horror themed anime which is void of stereotypes and which is amazing enough to leave a lasting impression. (Not counting Another which is a masterpiece in its own right). The girl in focus is Yomi Isayama. In most artworks, she is depicted in her regular seifuku attire which befits this calm, composed and attractive female. Purple eyes with a killer gaze, waist length black hair, smooth fair skin-this girl exudes the aura of a killer. Thankfully(Maybe not?), she is an executor of every vicious and vile demon which she can chance upon. Armed with with a beautiful katana and the skills of a master swordsman, she is a beautiful hurricane capable of wrecking havoc for hr prey. The artworks are quite realistic and serve to illustrate this dark, gorgeous girl in her most bewitching form. Dark and shadowy women always have a mystery to them which sucks you in like gravity and this one is a true exemplar of such feminine wiles.
