Wimborne v Cinderford preview 5th September 2013 Wimborne Town host Cinderford Town on Saturday aiming to make it three home league wins on the bounce as they bid to reclaim a top-5 spot. The Magpies slipped to 9th in midweek following their 1-0 defeat at Thatcham Town. “We have to be positive going into the game against Cinderford,” said manager Steve Cuss. “We’ve gained maximum points in our opening two league games at Cuthbury so far this season and we must try to continue that run.” Cuss’ selection options could be stretched through injury. Goalkeeper Jason Harvell is a big doubt after suffering a groin strain at Thatcham. Jon Blake is also a doubt with a leg injury. That could see Dan Ackerman take the gloves with Wimborne Reserves keeper Pete Singleton being drafted in as back up. Patrick Wilson could feature for the first time in the regular season since his signing last month and Daniel Burton-Hemmings could be asked to step up from Reserve football. Wimborne Town (from): Harvell, Arnold, Whitley, Wilson Maybury, Costello, Brian, Blake, Stokoe, Davidson, Hubbard, Kemble, Gamble, Griffin, Webb, Roast, Burton-Hemmings, Singleton, Ackerman.
