Windows 8 is the most ludicrous operating system Ive ever dealt with in my life. Requiring an Internet connection to sign onto windows with a Microsoft account set as standard log in procedure is absurd. Theres a family member that recently moved and setting up their PC in a room we cant get Ethernet access to now renders the PC offline and unable to sign in. Cant get signed in even after moving it to the basement hooked directly via Ethernet. Ive since found a way to disable this inconceivable standard method of logging in but guess what...you have to be logged into windows to do it! Et tu, Microsoft?
