Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 7 am this morning to 10 PM EST this evening... * locations...northwest New Jersey and the Poconos of southeast Pennsylvania...along and north of the Interstate 80 corridor. * Hazard types...heavy snow. * Snow accumulations...6 to 10 inches. * Timing...snow will begin shortly after sunrise...and be heavy at times during the day...diminishing by late this evening. * Temperatures...in the mid 30s. * Impacts...once the heavy snow begins...travel in these areas will be very difficult. Anyone with travel plans are urged to consider altering their plans...or travel after roads are cleared on Thursday. Snow could obscure Road signs. * Winds...north 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow are expected Wednesday. Gusty north winds are also possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
