***Winter Weather Advisory*** All Marion County Government is under a two hour delay for Monday 1/27/2014. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon Monday for much of Central Indiana. This covers the potential for snow squalls between about 10 PM and 1 AM tonight. Its along the leading edge of frigid temperatures and will be a quick mover. Thus, accumulations should be 1 or less. Winds turn NW behind the snow and will range from 20-30 mph, with gusts 40-50 mph. This will cause blowing and drifting issues, and may create some whiteout conditions. Temperatures drop like a rock overnight. Well have temperatures near zero for the morning commute. By Monday morning, wind chills will be near -20. Actual temperatures will hold pretty steady in the single digits, under partly sunny skies. A Wind Chill Warning runs from noon Monday to noon Wednesday for much of the state. Our coldest point will be Monday night and Tuesday morning, when wind chills will range from -20 to near -40 in spots.
