Winter has arrived! I hate the cold, snow and ice, but it DOES put me in the holiday spirit. Found the tree we will put up today. Mom and I are working on our DIY project for the porch. She bought balloons to do our colored frozen ornaments for the first snow that stays. I have begun looking for my Christmas cards and an outfit to the Christmas party at Fayes and the New Years bash at Karens. Digging out all the decorations tomorrow. It IS that time of year. I thought last Christmas would be my last one ever single. Funny how a year takes ya full circle. Yet I am not sad. I love my life. Love my family and have taken a twelve month journey that reminded me what matters most in this life. It certainly isnt silk lined lies and fake dreams. It is the nitty gritty, bare bones love of those you can always count on. For now I am signing off here, getting me a drink, putting on some Christmas music, writing a long overdue letter to Gene and listening to the rain/sleet fall outside.
