#WisdomFromThePast As a strategy geek I love reading about the movers and shakers of world history.I came across this wonderful piece of wisdom from a man who is less known in our country but was a rockstar in his field. Looking at the domination of US over rest of the world, I was checking out their early presidents.When studying seems out of fashion for leaders of every sector in our country, look what this man said 300 years ago: I must study politics and war, that our sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. Our sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history and naval architecture,navigation, commerce and agriculture in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry and porcelain.
