Here are a few simple tips guaranteed to help you keep off the unwanted bulge. 1) Pay for your party. Yup, you heard right! If you know you are going to be gorging on high fat foods at the party, do a good workout both in the morning as well as the evening to ensure the fats wont end up on your hips or belly. 2) Before heading for your fun night, drink a glass of buttermilk or skimmed milk at home. If it promises to be an all nighter, have your main meal at home too. This will ensure you dont stuff yourself with high calorie starters. 3) Avoid any form of carbohydrates at the party. Instead, opt for sautéed vegetables, chicken or fish. 4) Opt for red wine as it contains resveratrol, an anti fungal compound found in grape skin, which increases HDL (the good cholesterol) and inhibits LDL oxidation (the bad cholesterol). But if you are prone to migraine or acidity, avoid having wine.
