Witches of the Vampir Metrou: Carols Essential Oil - TopicsExpress

Witches of the Vampir Metrou: Carols Essential Oil Goodies Okay! Lol. Here are a few things I do with my essential oils. (Please ALWAYS dilute your oils before using and test a small patch on your skin before making a recipe. See below for conducting a Patch Test) Patch test - To test an essential oil you have not used before, do a patch test by adding 1 drop of oil to 1/2 tsp. vegetable oil and apply to the inside of the arm. Leave on for 24 hours, and if any redness or itching develops, dont use the oil. NOTE BENE: ~all citrus oils are photosensitive. Meaning do not apply and go into the sun. A serious burn can result. You can use the Bergapatene-free citrus oils, but I would still insist on using care here. (Bergaptene - Many plants contain furocoumarins such as bergaptene, which are known photosensitizers. Bergaptene is a naturally occurring component of bergamot essential oil. When bergamot oil is applied, the skin can become very sensitive to ultraviolet light. Severity of the reaction depends on length of exposure and individual sensitivity. Mild cases can be a reddening of the skin while severe cases can result in acute lesions known as bullock dermatitis. The dermatitis will resolve itself in a few weeks; however the accompanying hyperpigmentation (brown spots on the skin) can take months or years to fully disappear. ~If you are pregnant or nursing PLEASE look up the safety if the oil before using. ~All mints will negate the positive effects of FlowerEssences. I.e. Bachs Rescue Remedy, etc. ~If you are allergic to Ragweed. Do not use any Chamomile oils. Okay! That being said. Common Sense here folks. 1. Peppermint Oil: on a cotton ball. Sniffed for headaches. You can dilute in veggie oil to your personal tastes and apply on the bridge of your nose, back of neck and temples. A good peppermint and honey tea works great. As does Feverfew Capsules/Tea. One drop of Peppermint oil on a sugar cube or in 2 Tablespoons of localized honey works wonders for indigestion. 2. Lavender Oil: See methods in #1 Peppermint Oil for methods for getting rid of Tension Headaches and Tension. Yes these two oils can be combined. Burned in a diffuser it rids the atmosphere of of negativity and promotes positive communication and attracts positive entities. Lavender oil is perfect in burns. You can apply it neat (non-diluted) for a burn. It calms the inflammation and helps halt the denaturation of the dermis below the epidermis. Please try to always get a burn under cold running water for at least 10 minutes. Do NOT pop blisters. If one is accidentally popped, Lavender oil may also be applied neat to heal and lessen the pain. Cover blister immediately with a sterile non-stick dressing. Frankincense Oil: So many uses here. I like to add a few drops to my favorite lotion (I use Cetaphil non-scented). It prevents psychic vampire tendrils and other energy ickies from sticking. These are just a few ideas :) I have TONS. just ask me if you like folks. BLESSINGS!
