With all the evils of the world there isnt even union between Christians. Thats dissapointing and discouraging to believers to see that theres persecution coming from fellow believers about the way you practice your belief. I witnessed an argument last night on mega churches and Wether or not they preach revelation and the opinions were so strong it almost caused rifts between the two. Meanwhile Im just here trynna figure out what do we do this for. Do we love God to get to heaven? That doesnt sound honorable. Or is the journey of becoming a better person the most important. I like to believe the latter. But I also want to go to heaven and receive blessings like everyone else but to me that sounds the most selfish. You dont do good to be rewarded, you do good because it is right. I think the promise of Heaven or infinite blessings taints the hearts of many who see God as a reward system. Even I have to ask myself am i praying because I think Im supposed to, because Ive been told too when everything goes array, because I actually feel connected to God, like why. Im not one to lie to myself about my faults and honestly I struggle with unbelief. I say that to say this, there is a possibility that your way may not be His way no matter how aligned you think you are with His will. Acknowledge this and work on you constantly but condemning other people only moves them further from getting to know their God.
