What you do outside of the gym counts just as much. Non - TopicsExpress

What you do outside of the gym counts just as much. Non exercise physical activity (NEPA) is any activity that occurs as part of what you do day to day. This is worth thinking about if you are trying to put on some size. If you have an active job, or are very active during the day, then your NEPA will be high meaning you burn more calories. This would then have to be taken into account when calculating your calories for a surplus. Ie. you would need to eat more. On the flip side if you arent very active then you NEPA would be low meaning you wont be burning as many calories. One simple way you could improve fat loss is simply moving more to help with a deficit. Go for long walks on the beach at sunrise, or ride a horse on the beach at sunset. As long as youre moving more, its all good, and as a little bonus it helps with cardiovascular health in the long term. As they say, dont miss the forest for the trees.
