With all the obvious easily seen examples in the numerous diverse systems suffering from the austerity based economic practices MANY countries adopted more than a decade ago....why do government leaders continue to adopt national economic policies (though name label has changed) that have almost identical methodologies? How stupid must one be to NOT get a few simple concepts. 1. Slashing funding usually means layoffs in workforce. 2. Unemployment rates spiking and remaining high follows. 3. BECAUSE OUT OF WORK MEANS NO MONEY INJECTED INTO ECONOMY. 4. Poverty increases while top economic class wealth climbs. 5. Resentment between financial classes increases because as social programs budgets shrink services are denied to needy ...yet top earners are not subject to tax increases
