With an unofficial time just under 3:30 I exceeded my expectations for myself! I think my cold actually helped me by forcing a better taper than I might have otherwise done, but my body was completely depleted by mile 20. At the finish I crashed and had to take a nice ride in a wheelchair to the medical tent were they revived my completely dead arms and legs and asked me all kinds of tricky questions about my personal information. Geeze! I just ran a marathon; how am I supposed to know if I have medical conditions they need to be aware of! By some miracle I finished with Sarah and Brenda who were able to assist after medical released me (basically carry me through the shoot). Ha. Needless to say, I could have run no further on this day. And my nose never did stop running so I was glad when they finally gave me a finishers shirt so I could have a new clean thing to blow my nose on!
